Private Ernest H. C. Payne

 

 

The 1914-18 Service Medal and Victory Medal of Private Ernest Payne, North Irish Horse, Service No.81218.

On 12 September 1918, Payne and around fifty others were transferred to the North Irish Horse and embarked for Boulogne, France, where they were posted to the V Corps Cyclist (North Irish Horse) Battalion. After the Armistice Payne was transferred to the Army Cyclist Corps (Service No.14823).
