Private George Stewart: medal and cap badge group

 

 

This superb group belonged to Private George Stewart of the North Irish Horse (Service No.1633), and 9th (North Irish Horse) Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers (Service No.41192). Stewart enlisted in June or July 1915, and was probably sent to France as a reinforcement in 1916 or 1917. My sincere thanks to John Pinkerton for agreeing that I reproduce this image from his collection.
