Lance Corporal William Leckey, 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles, Service No. 40889. Formerly North Irish Horse, Service No. 2167. Born Belfast. Eldest son of Samuel and Jane Leckey of 38 Avoca Street, Belfast. Killed in action on 11 May 1918, aged 24. Buried at Gwalia Cemetery, Ieper, West-Vlanderen, Belgium, grave II.E.23. The gravestone inscription reads:
