Private Francis James Morrison, 9th (North Irish Horse) Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers, Service No. 41112. Formerly 6th Inniskilling Dragoons (Service Squadron), Service No. UD/198, and 2nd Regiment, North Irish Horse. Born Brookeborough, County Fermanagh. Enlisted Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh. Residence Brookeborough. Son of Alexander and Margaret Morrison of Drumhoy, Brookeborough. Died of wounds on 25 May 1918, aged 22. Buried at Gwalia Cemetery, Ieper, West-Vlanderen, Belgium, grave II.C.29. The gravestone inscription reads:

25TH MAY 1918 AGE 22

WE CANNOT LORD THY PURPOSE SEE

BUT ALL IS WELL THAT'S DONE BY THEE
