Lance Corporal William J. Reid

 

 

Lance Corporal William J Reid, 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles, Service No. 40838. Formerly North Irish Horse, Service No. 2021. Born Port Stewart, County Derry. Enlisted Antrim. Son of Mr D. Reid of Barnview House, Portstewart, County Derry. Killed in action on 14 October 1918. Buried at Dadizeele New British Cemetery, Moorslede, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, grave I.D.17. The gravestone inscription reads:

40838 LANCE CPL.
