One of a series of hand-drawn postcards by Trooper Albert E. V. Richards of the 10th Royal Hussars (Service No. 1936), addressed to Miss M. Rust, The Orchard Hotel, 5 Portman Street, Portman Square, London W. It reads:

Dear Mary,

Many thanks for your welcomed letter, post-cards and handkerchiefs. Sorry but cannot send letter just now, but thought you would like another sketch which will explain all. I'm in good health and glad to see you are the same. Will write later. Yours very sincerely,
