Trooper Albert Richards: 'On leave' No.1

 

 

One of a series of hand-drawn postcards by Trooper Albert E. V. Richards of the 10th Royal Hussars (Service No. 1936), addressed to Miss M. Rust, The Empress Club, Picadilly, London, W. This is one of a pair, and is postmarked 26 March 1916. It reads:

"It seems a long time getting there."

An impression of my feelings when crossing the Channel on 72 hours leave.
