Trooper Albert Richards: 'Preparing the way'

 

 

One of a series of hand-drawn postcards by Trooper Albert E. V. Richards of the 10th Royal Hussars (Service No. 1936), addressed to Miss Mary Rust. It reads:

23rd July 1916

O.A.S.

Dear Mary

I'm sending you my last sketch untill I receive more black ink as doing them in pencil would be no good, for it would only be a black smudge by the time you received same. Everything is going well as my sketch will explain.

Albert. In great hurry.
