F Squadron group

 

A group photograph of eight men of the North Irish Horse, probably taken in Ireland or in England before departure for France (the photographer's mark is 'C. Walker'). One is believed to be an Irish international footballer. This image was owned by Francis McMahon (No.1308), so probably depicts men of F Squadron, the unit in which he served. The man in the centre is believed to be Hugh Annesley, a well-known football player.
