Saddler Robert J. Hassard

 

 

Robert J. Hassard, North Irish Horse, Service Nos. 1234 and H/71294 (Corps of Hussars). Hassard is pictured in a local newspaper in 1966 holding a bayonet he brought home from the front. His father ran a saddlery in Dundrum, Co. Down, and Robert carried on the trade for many years.
