Corporal William Stevenson MM

Corporal William Stevenson MM, Service Nos 1985 (NIH), 71654 (Corps of Hussars). Served in France with the 1st Regiment North Irish Horse and V Corps (North Irish Horse) Cyclist Regiment from July 1916 until the end of the war.
"Corporal William Stevenson, ... son of the late Mr. Wilson Stevenson, Crankill, and brother of Mr. James Stevenson, Contractor of Gracehill, has been awarded the Military Medal for gallantry in the field during the recent advance. Cpl. Stevenson joined up in November 1915 and was drafted to France in July 1916." (Ballymena Observer, October 11, 1918)
